We are currently seeking a Consultant / Sr. Consultant to join our office and support our Federal outsourcing and assurance clients in the Washington D.C. Metro Area.
Primary Responsibilities:

Highly desired experience with internal controls, financial reporting and (OMB) Circular A-123; Federal Information and OMB Circulars A-134, A-136 and other OMB policies
Familiarity with System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM); and DMLSS (the Defense Medical Logistics Standard), GAFS (the General Accounting and Finance System) and/or CRIS (the
Commanders Resource Integration System)
Experience with financial management ?federal policies, systems and procedures for personnel, acquisition, etc.
Demonstrated ability to extract raw data from feeder systems, and experience reconciling and analyzing extracted data.
Requirements?Candidate shall have a four (4) year degree and four (4) or more years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of the basic accounting concepts involved in accounting and tax return preparation
Proficiency and aptitude for applicable software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, effectively present information and respond to questions
Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, etc.
Other desired experience includes generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
