System/Application Administrator

Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to join an Engineering program working current & future engineering efforts to this large scale enterprise, multi-tenant customer environment.
Troubleshoot system software problems, provides technical guidance to users in overcoming difficulties with software, network, or OS. Applies administrator subject matter knowledge in order to document, design, development, modeling, simulation, integration, and installation of enterprise systems. Monitor and manage application system resources to maintain operating efficiency. Identifies, analyzes and documents requirements and schedules resources related to application support and maintenance. Coordinate with development teams to enhance application functionality. Work with network engineers, system administrators, database administrators, and security engineers to overcome application and environmental obstacles. Complete After Action Reports after all outages, Planned and Unplanned. System Administrators must deploy new applications to the Test and Production environments following established protocols. This includes research of requirements, requesting servers/equipment, coordinating other team assistance, writing RFC/updating documentation, deploying the application and troubleshooting any arising issues. System Administrators must attend customer and internal department meetings.
Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. Masters, especially in Science, Computers, Engineering, is highly desired
Qualifications
5-8 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
DoD 8570: Security+ CE
Desired Sys Admin skills:

Must have excellent communication skills (oral and writing). May interact with the gov't customer and senior government leadership leaders at the highest levels, prefer those who have experience and skills in this area.
Unique requirements: Minimum SECRET clearance (Interim) required. Past experience in Pentagon/DoD environment preferred, experience with JSP, OSD WHS EITSD Pentagon customer also highly desired. Secret clearance required. Must be 8570 Compliant on day 1 (Security+ CE, CISSP or like certification meeting security minimum requirement).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
