VPIM Configuration Manager III

Overview:
The VPIM Configuration Manager III will assist the VPIM Program Lead and Deputy Program Lead in documenting the implantation and oversight to verify that all vehicle based Electronic Countermeasures, tactical radios, and Mobile Video systems perform as intended, identify and document in sufficient detail (technical manuals) all vehicle platforms and/or stationary configurations to support its projected life cycle.
Primary Responsibilities:
The VPIM Configuration Manager III will assist program leads to resolve problems; complete audits; determine system improvements; implement change. Under general supervision, manage specialized and technical functions, review and documentation of curriculum data bases. Provide technical writing support and objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and supervision to VPIM Configuration Managers and support others involved in the VPIM mission.
Education and/or Experience:
Must possess three years of technical and related experience in the field of Electronic Countermeasures, tactical radios, and Mobile Video Systems; and
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Solid understanding of Configuration Management practices and principles.

Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US passport
Security Clearance:
TOP SECRET Clearance Level Required
Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance
Must have a current US Government Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (less than 4-1/2 years old) or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Single Scope Background Investigation.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must be able to stand, walk and sit for a prolonged period of time; use hands and/or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; operate office equipment; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close and distant vision. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Medical conditions or physical impediments may disqualify candidates from overseas work where comprehensive medical care may be limited or unavailable, or where the condition or impediment would put the individual at unacceptable risk. Duties may be performed in an active combat zone where the employee would be required to seek shelter. There may be stress, psychological and physical hardships, and the possibility of living in field conditions associated with this position.
Travel:
May be required to travel OCONUS to conduct installation, training or maintenance at diplomatic facilities. OCONUS travel may include critical threat locations around the world with austere living conditions. Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.
Work Environment:
Full-time, 40+ hour week while Domestic. Overseas travel is usually under hazardous conditions when deployed in a theater of operations. Personnel meeting the provisions of Department of State Standardized Regulations, Chapter 650 ? Danger Pay Allowance, and performing in a location determined a hazardous duty area are eligible to receive uplift pay over basic compensation.
Living Environment: When deployed overseas lodging, meals, medical and basic life support services will be provided while in a theater of operations, as well as the prevailing per diem rate for incidental expenses (I&E;).
Work Location:
The stateside work location will be in Sterling, VA and DOS Annexes in Arlington and/or Springfield, VA. The location of high-risk environments will be disclosed upon interview.
Medical Clearance:
Must be able to obtain / maintain a DoS Class 1 medical clearance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
