Job Description
Primary duties will be the maintenance and repair of the equipment, circuits supporting the Defense Red Switch Network at the Pentagon. Must be able to work rotating shift schedules and/or standby, if required, to provide 24/7 365 coverage. Must have excellent communications skills, successful completion of technical training associated with operations and maintenance of the Defense Red Switch Network DSS-2A switch. Must be familiar with various encryption devices, e.g. KIV-7, including device substitution, key and re-keying. Must be familiar with performing BERT tests and with test equipment supporting the troubleshooting and maintenance of DISA and DEFENSE RED SWITCH NETWORK Circuits. Must be familiar with the operation and maintenance of all ancillary devices, e.g., ISTs, ECCs, CEUs, MDAs, UMUXs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
