Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior PSO Soldier Skills Trainer shall:
+ Supervise the instruction of Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) soldier skills to African military units receiving ACOTA Program training.
+ Instruct and supervise PKO soldier skills training for company grade officers and their soldiers who shall deploy to PKOs.
+ Soldier Skills Training shall focus on:
+ BRM
+ CQM
+ Movement formations and techniques,
+ Infantry squad and platoon battle drills
+ Convoy operations
+ CQM/CQB,
+ C-IED
+ Recon
+ Checkpoint operations
+ Crowd control
+ Cordon and search.
+ Develop POIs, lesson plans, and training support packages for individual and collective training to support the preparation of ACOTA partner country soldiers for the rigors of sustained PKO operations in Africa.
+ Ensure all training scenarios are based on the most current mission area information from Areas of Operations
+ Training will involve classroom and field instruction in austere environments.
+ All classes shall be taught in the training language of the host nation.
Education and Experience
Senior PSO Skills Trainers shall have the following education, experience, and military background unless otherwise approved in advance by the Contracting Officer Representative
+ Skills, experience, and knowledge to accomplish the goals and tasks of the ACOTA Program.
+ Minimum of ten (10) years of U.S. military operations and training experience (or civilian equivalent) in a Combat Aims Specialty required with a strong background in overseas program operations focused on training local national military personnel and units preferred.
+ Subject matter experts in at least one Combat Arms U.S. Military Occupational Specialty, Branch, or Functional area.
+ Familiar with standard military training concepts, practices, and procedures.
+ Preferably an individual with recent U.S. Military combat and/or PKO experience at 0-3, 0-4, 0-5, E-8, or E-9 level.
+ Experience operating in areas with limited life cycle support and in hardship conditions preferred.
+ Recent OIF/OEF experiences desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
