AV Coordinator

A Kforce client is looking for a AV Coordinator to support our client based in Rosslyn, VA. Summary: AV Coordinator to support a long term Audio Visual installation and support initiative with the Department of State. The AV Coordinator is a dynamic, technically-oriented, analytical, proactive individual with strong Audio Visual field knowledge and excellent communications skills. Job responsibilities include but not limited to designing, installing and troubleshooting of AV equipment as well as providing user support as needed. Will work closely with management team, ISSO and different facilities head to design and install AV equipment as requested.The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in maintaining AV equipment inventory, costing/pricing of AV equipment as well as the ability to balance and allocate budget as needed for various facilities. Responsibility includes travelling to various facilities throughout the week, but at a minimum of 1-2 days a week, especially during the implementation phase.Responsibilities:
Attend meetings on-site at FASTC and at contractor facilities to track AV work progress
Responsible for making sure requirements and plan documents provided are on schedule
Will be responsible for hands on/eyes on monitoring of progress and reporting (may require one to two days per week on site, possibly more during implementation phase)
Responsible for conducting tests to ensure that all equipment is working properly and are safe to use as well
Will be responsible for reporting potential budget and inventory for AV equipment, quality standard and critical path issues to FASTC project manager and leadership
The Audio Visual Coordinator instructs and guides other technicians to setup various equipment including spotlights, microphone, speakers, camera, projector, and all other equipment as needed
Be able to oversee the setup of audio-visual fields: sound, lights, projection, technological devices, etc. as well as guide technicians as needed
Be able to communicate and coordinate with project manager, ISSO and technical members of team to confirm proposed architecture for Facilities, Policy, Network and Systems requirements
Will have several years of experience in balancing and allocating budget as needed for the installation and maintenance of the AV equipment as well as be knowledgeable in equipment cost for various facilities
Have working knowledge and experience with microphones, microphone stands, projectors, screens, cables, media carts, iPods, CD players, laptops, etc. and be able to repair, replace or troubleshoot as needed
Will be able to repair and troubleshoot any technical errors faced while installing and using audio visual equipment
Will have experience with Audio Visual installation and maintenance at multiple facilities
Be able to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
