Information Assurance Engineer 02-203

Lead security implementation activities associated with the secure development, security control implementation, and accreditation activities of multiple DoD programs. Provide Information Assurance (IA) expertise to support Certification and Accreditation (C&A) using Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) Risk Management Framework (RMF) or the Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) for a variety of DoD customers.
Bachelor's degree in technical field, IA, etc.
Required Skills:
Broad information security experience required to include: requirements analysis, design, test, and certification. Requires detailed knowledge of of either NIST 800-53, DIACAP associated standards and DoD policies and procedures including certification and accreditation procedures, software/security testing, network security, PKI, firewalls, and Linux/Windows system administration, or experience with FISMA RMF. Strong communications skills and a minimum two years of experience are required. Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance Required
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with security guards, network/system security, and operating/application hardening is desired. A security related certification such as CISSP or CompTIA Security+ is required within 90 days of employment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
