Power Systems Engineer, Mid

Key Role:
Provide support to clients in pursuing distributed generation, renewable energy, and microgrid goals. Apply knowledge of electric utility power systems to assist the client with performing detailed analysis on electric infrastructure and provide solutions in the areas of distributed generation integration, smart grid implementation, microgrid implementation, or utility investment strategy. Communicate effective solutions and recommendations to the client in oral and written forms. Develop high-level schematics, conceptual design, and cost estimates to support recommendations and solve client issues occasionally. This position is located in Washington, DC.
Basic Qualifications:
-1 years of experience in the electrical engineering industry
-Experience with the analysis or design of electric distribution systems, transmission systems, or utility substations, specifically in the 4k volts to 500k volts range
-Experience with applying engineering theories, standards, concepts, resources, and techniques
-Experience with working on complex projects independently or on teams of larger projects involving engineering and analytical studies
-Knowledge of electrical utility power equipment, methods, and developments in engineering
-Ability to interpret and analyze electric single-line diagrams
-Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
-Ability to travel to work sites up to 25% of the time
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BS degree in EE
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with using load flow or power simulation software
-Experience with developing and analyzing conceptual electrical single-line diagrams
-Experience with renewable energy or distributed generation
-Experience with undergraduate or graduate coursework in electric power systems
-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-MA or MS degree in Engineering or a related field

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
