Senior Proposal Coordinator

Requirements? Undergraduate degree preferred
1 year of proposal coordination experience
2-3 years of professional work experience
Position requires an acute attention to detail and impeccable proofreading and editing skills
Must possess demonstrated abilities to work under and enforce tight deadlines, work independently and as part of a team, and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
Flexibility to meet deadlines and proposal schedules and organizational and leadership skills are a must
Excellent time and resource management skills
Excellent organizational skills, writing skills, and oral communication skills
Due to the fast-paced work environment, the selected individual must be a team player, self-starter, and able to work with minimal direction to meet deadlines
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and make independent judgments when necessary
Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stress and ability to work with a diverse group of personalities
Must demonstrate the necessary personality and leadership skills to engage and motivate a diverse group of domain and technical experts, consultants and subcontractors
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Understanding of US Government contracting and proposal processes
This position is characterized by shifting priorities, stringent deadlines, and evening/weekend hours to accomplish tasks within non-negotiable client deadlines. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to use initiative, independent and sound judgment with highly confidential business matters.

General Office Demands:
Must accurately record your daily timesheet per AFSC's Timekeeping Policy
Must be able to operate general office equipment including but not limited to: computer, phones and related media and information devices on most or all workdays.
Experienced in operating Microsoft office products.
Ability to work at the Headquarters Program level.
Ability to communicate and interact with others, both in person, online and/or by telephone to conduct business.
Working under time pressure.
Working rapidly for long periods to meet deadlines.
Must be able to travel as needed and adhere to AFSC travel policies and procedures.
Physical requirements can typically be characterized as medium work: Lifting/moving items up to 50 pounds.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
