Position Description Provide a variety of advisory services related to internal controls, risk assessments, risk management, IT controls, related standards (Sarbanes-Oxley, FISCAM, FISMA, NIST, COBIT), an POA&Ms Assist in the identification and evaluation of complex business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement Become familiar with clients business environment and basic risk management approaches Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients Participate in mentoring relationships within practice Excellent potential for 1) supporting the project team in gathering, organizing and analyzing data; 2) making contributions in assuring products/deliverables meet contract/work plan and; 3) potential for growth and acceptance of additional responsibilities Required Skills BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems Administration or related field preferred 1-3 years of related experience within professional services, preferably in an IT risk management or services role Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel; Experience with Visio and MS Project Ability to write report segments and to participate in presentations Desired Skills: Desired experience in the completion of risk assessments and C&A documentation Desired experience in designing, documenting, evaluating and testing general computer controls for IT security, change management, and IT operations CISA, CISSP, or CRISC certification a plus, but not required Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley, FISCAM, FISMA, and/or NIST is a plus Experience with internal controls, risk assessments, and controls design, testing, or operational auditing Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and a Master's is preferred Required Work Location and Travel requirements: Candidates must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area Applicants should be eligible to obtain and hold an active U.S. Government Clearance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
