Physical Security Engineering Services Program Manager I/II

Overview:
The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the coordination and execution of special projects and testing that may include research, design, testing and evaluation in the areas of full service blast mitigation engineering and design services; anti-ram barrier engineering and design services; forced entry and ballistic resistance engineering and design services; and construction management of physical security related systems and features.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design of tests and the design selection of adequate sensor technologies to record important test metrics. Components tested may include masonry walls, reinforced concrete columns, reinforced concrete slabs, windows, reinforced concrete and steel blast barrier walls.
Other field tests may involve improvised (terrorist) explosive mixtures with the objective of quantifying their yield and to compare them to conventional high explosive yields.
Provide the technical expertise to support a liaison program with other offices, federal agencies, organizations, and interagency working groups that are developing and implementing blast mitigation, anti-ram vehicle barrier, and forced entry and ballistic resistant designs
Provide support to investigate and analyze a variety of materials and products to determine their potential as effective physical security countermeasures to existing and future threats.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The PM will work closely with other engineers, architects, technical writers and CAD operators to achieve project goals.
Education and/or Experience:
A Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, structural or civil engineering is required from an accredited university, with a Master?s degree preferred.
At least seven (7) years of practical experience in the areas of blast mitigation and/or anti-ram design is required.
(BlastX), graphing/plotting, and office productivity software is desired. .
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Areas of required expertise and skill include: designing blast resistant buildingsnew construction; experience designing and implementing blast mitigation measures for existing facilities; experience in the improvement of anti-ram vehicle barriers to provide setback from vehicle bombs; and experience with the development of new designs of improved building elements for forced entry and ballistic resistance protection.
Must be able to plan, conduct and report the results of field tests involving research on the response of structures and non-structural components to high explosive detonations.
Communicate (oral and written presentations, written reports) to exchange ideas and brief both management and outside entities regarding all matters related to blast mitigation, anti-ram vehicle barriers and forced entry and ballistic resistance.
Use a variety of software packages to including, and not limited to: AutoCAD drafting software, SolidWorks design and engineering software, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Project.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Membership in American Society for Testing and Materials and the American Society of Civil Engineers is desired, but not required.
Security Clearance:
SECRET Level Required
Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must also be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
