Exercise Planner (Cyber Security)

JOB TITLE: Exercise Planner- Cyber Security
OVERVIEW: phia LLC is seeking skilled Cyber Security Exercise Planners to support a large Federal Security Operations Center (SOC) and its 24x7 SOC mission.
+ Examine the capabilities of participating organizations to prepare for, protect from, and respond to the potential effects of cyber attacks
+ Exercise strategic decision making and interagency coordination of incident response(s) in accordance with national level policy and procedures
+ Validate information sharing relationships and communications paths for the collection and dissemination of cyber incident situational awareness, response, and recovery information
+ Examine means and processes through which to share sensitive information across boundaries and sectors without compromising proprietary or national security interests
+ Ensures exercise development supports a successful learning environment for playing agencies and is consistent with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) guidance
+ Develops exercise work products to include exercise situational manual (SITMAN), controller and evaluator training, scenario, master scenario events list (MSEL) injects based on player inputs (objectives), improvement plans/after action report using a working group exercise design and development.
+ Develop agendas, facilitate meetings to achieve planning milestones, take notes and publish meeting minutes.
+ A combination of a Bachelor?s degree and multiple years of experience
+ TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility
+ Familiarity with planning, directing, and managing projects/operations in a 24x7 SOC
+ Familiarity with IT systems
+ Strong communications and technical writing skills
+ Strong team player with the ability to conduct daily duties autonomously
+ Bachelor?s in an IT related field of study
+ Knowledge of the Department of Homeland Security Cyber operations enterprise and its major stakeholders
+ Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security +, etc)
+ HSEEP certification
WORK SCHEDULE: Core business hours, Monday-Friday
WORK LOCATION: McLean, VA and/or Arlington, VA

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
