Visual Designer

LiveSafe is seeking an experienced Visual Designer who will help shape the next generation of LiveSafe products, both mobile and web. To be successful in this position you must be able to seamlessly shift roles between creative concepts and beautiful design, and have a keen understanding of visual best practices and trends and how they apply across platforms and devices.
We are building a brand and we need a rockstar who can help design to make the world a safer place. (But really though, our app been used to prevent serious crimes, and even save a life!).
About you
You most likely identify as a(n):
+ Visual Designer with a portfolio that demonstrates excellence in both mobile and web design
+ Effective communicator in a cross-functional team that presents ideas and designs clearly for both internal discussion and client feedback
+ Collaborator who develops prototypes, redlines, developer style guide documentation, and other deliverables to effectively communicate designs to the rest of the team for implementation and development
+ Someone that stays current with the latest design and technology trends across web, desktop, and mobile platforms, and adopts modern techniques into workflow as appropriate
There are always exceptions, and we hire exceptional individuals, so nothing on this list is strictly required. However, if many of these sound like you, then you are probably a good fit.
+ BA/BS/MS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial) with at least 1 year of relevant experience in a design position. If no formal Design degree, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree accompanied by at least 2 years of relevant experience in a design position
+ Strong comprehensive understanding of best design practices across platforms, i.e. desktop & mobile
+ Fluent in all things digital design, whether it be Adobe products or emerging tools such as Sketch, Flinto, and InVision
+ Core design skills; ability to establish visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color effectively.
+ Basic HTML/CSS Knowledge
+ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups and defend your design artifacts
+ Ability to juggle multiple priorities on tight deadlines without compromising quality

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
