Sr. Manager/Director, Compensation & Benefits.

Cobham is seeking a Sr. Manager / Director, Compensation and Benefits that will work within Corporate Compensation & Benefits requiring the development and management of practices that support a strong, proactive, market competitive Compensation & Benefits program, thereby increasing our ability to attract, retain and engage employees. Although the role will be global in nature, a large part of the role will focus on U.S. benefits (i.e., managing the vendor relationship with Precept who administers Cobham's U.S. Health & Welfare and Retirement programs) and compensation administration/planning. This position is located in Arlington, VA primary, Orchard Park, NY secondary.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and implement programs to appropriately reward individual performance levels and differentiate compensation based on geographic locations in the US
Project Manager for the Compensation Planning Tool, a web based compensation planning system that incorporates planning for merit, STI, and LTI.
Effective management of Cobham's third party health & welfare and retirement benefits providers
Chair of the Health & Welfare Benefits and the Retirement Benefits Steering Committees
Act as the operational corporate contact for Equatex (LTI) and Fidelity (U.S. Retirement) and works directly with vendors to resolve both routine and complex issues. Prepare and loads annual LTI grants into Equatex.
Provides regional compensation-related analysis including salary and reward planning, STI/LTI plan administration, salary surveys, broad banding and benefits
Centralizes compliance programs in the way of OFCCP and EEO reporting, ERISA regulations and related reporting; oversees the relationship with provider of Affirmative Action Plan counsel (US only)
Provide support on job evaluation, job leveling, titling, FLSA categorization, salary administration and benchmarking processes; member of the Job Evaluation Committee
Direct the yearly open enrollment process for the U.S. NQ plan and manages the administration of participants within the plan
Coordinate and deploy performance management, annual salary reviews, bonus payout processes throughout the company in N.A.
Prepare and distribute written and verbal information regarding benefits, compensation and company polices.
Direct the yearly open enrollment process for the U.S. Non-Qualified Retirement plan and manage all aspects of the NQ plan with Fidelity.
Prepare and distribute written and verbal information regarding benefits, compensation and company polices
Accomplish reporting requirements of all government policies and regulations, including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
Manage the administration of the U.S. Executive Retirement Plan
Perform the semi-annual and annual AIP calculations and direct the payroll process for payment of annual compensation planning, including merit and AIP.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree.
Five (5) year's compensation and benefit experience.
Five (5) years' experience with health & welfare and retirement benefits as well as state and federal legal and compliance factors within pay and benefits practices.
Five (5) years' experience with classification values and job evaluation training, including providing effective techniques in classifying positions.
Five (5) years' experience with state and federal regulations as well as benefit rules and regulations.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources.
Up to date market knowledge particularly in relation to health & welfare and retirement benefits.
Effective communicator - Excellent writing and group presentation skills.
Able to align reward policy to business objectives.
A very high degree of analytical skills, including advanced Excel skills.
Detail oriented including excellent organizational skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
