Job Description Summary
Applies adult learning principles to design, develop and deliver synchronous (face-to-face ILT and virtual ILT) and interactive, scenario-based asynchronous (WBT) training materials on time and in a highly professional manner. Collaborates with project team to meet and/or exceed client expectations to develop Background Investigator-specific courseware to include:
Assists in conducting needs and task analyses and formative/summative evaluations, by working effectively with Subject Matter Experts and decision makers to formulate qualified solutions and design technical training curricula. Seeks and analyzes content provided by client, establishes learning objectives, writes test questions, assists in determining instructional strategies, and conducts media analysis. Assists in the development of standards and conventions for training products. Designs and writes creative content for computer/web-based training. Designs and develops supplemental course materials such as student workbooks, instructor manuals, and tests. Creates a certification process to certify both the trainers who will conduct training and participants who will take the training. Seeks and analyzes evaluation data in order to constantly improve the job performance and customer satisfaction with our services. Develops and maintains company learning curriculum including documentation of the learning experience, learning objectives, and organization of all assets to be included in the training catalog. Contributes to training communication program regarding new offerings, participant feedback, etc.
Job Description:
The Instructional Designer is responsible for all phases of the ADDIE instructional design methodology or integration of other adult learning theories depending on project requirements. Partnering with subject matter experts, programmers, task lead and project manager the ideal candidate will develop Background Investigator-specific courseware including:
Review prior training courseware to establish current state of learning material.
Facilitate discovery sessions with stakeholders to identify and validate customer needs and performance requirements to establish future state expectations.
Partner with internal Subject Matter Experts to gain insight into the subject areas and design creative educational approaches utilizing adult learning theory.
Develop Couse Design Document (CDD) for each course and achieve stakeholder sign-off. The CDD will contain the learning strategy, stakeholder objectives, learning objectives, modalities, etc.
Develop learning objectives for training materials, including mapping to existing competencies where applicable.
Utilize modular design concepts in order to create multiple training paths responding to job role and personal knowledge levels.
Design and develop training curricula for synchronous instructor-led delivery (including both virtual and in-person modalities), and asynchronous delivery (including web-based training, video and computer based training).
Ensure Section 508 compliance of all training deliverables.
Design and develop a training and evaluation process to track individual and program metrics including pre-test, post-test and in-class elements.
Deliver train-the-trainer sessions to certify internal trainers on new content.
Design a trainer evaluation form and process.
Work with leadership and customer to create a training certification process.
Respond to ad hoc data calls and enquiries.
Research web and eLearning tools and technologies and compile recommendations for curriculum-delivery solutions
Maintain related training SharePoint project sites.
Ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Develop rapport with and earn respect from clients; focus on the client's values and desired outcomes; consistently demonstrate a high level of customer satisfaction for internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or 5-7 years' experience in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education, or a related field
At least five (5) years of experience in the design and development of Background Investigator-specific instructional materials
Ability to potentially travel up to 15% of the time
Experience creating componentized/modular training so that segments can be organized into multiple learning paths
Expertise in loading WBT objects into a learning management system
Proficient with eLearning authoring tools, such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio and Storyline, Adobe Presenter, Adobe Captivate
Proficient in presentation tools (e.g., TechSmith Camtasia, MS PowerPoint), including Windows and Microsoft Office suite software programs
Experience writing scenario-based, narrative-driven, interactive, multimedia web-based courseware
Superior oral and written communication skills
Experience facilitating in classroom and virtual instructor-led courses via virtual platforms (i.e., Blackboard Learn, Blackboard Collaborate and Adobe Connect)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
