Title: Technology Assessment and Integration Technician

Location: Crystal City / OCONUS (Afghanistan or Kuwait) deployments as needed
The Technical Integrator will work with CONUS personnel to transition the proposed and existing C-IED technologies into use by those deployed in Theater. You will also work to further define requirements for C-IED capability gaps as well as drafting and submitting JUONS, and supporting Operational Assessments (OAs) for systems coming into theater. You will also answer technical RFIs, produce intelligence products on key findings of exploitation efforts, and coordinate focused analyses for technical questions regarding IEDs.
This position will be based in Crystal City. Deployments will be determined by client need and determined as the need arises. Potential deployments may range from 3 months to 12 months, based upon needs.
This position requires a current TS/SCI clearance.
Position Summary / Responsibility:
Provides a broad range of operational support (CONOPS development, fielding, logistics, movement, maintenance, assessment, etc.) in order to coordinate, integrate, and operationally assess JIEDDO sponsored capabilities.
Work with Command and Operations Sections to focus proposed and existing C-IED technologies and S&T efforts for deployment in Theater; provide input in defining requirements for C-IED capability gaps; draft and review JUONS; and answer technical RFIs.
Support requires knowledge of analytical reasoning, organizational effectiveness and efficiency concepts, assessment methodology, process mapping, and improvement. The majority of effort is performed OCONUS in combat theater of operations.
Demonstrated work experience (at least 8 years) managing, planning, and coordinating the integration, fielding, and assessment of new capabilities into dynamic operating environment with relevant experience in a DoD and military work environment is required.
Effective support requires knowledge of counter-IED principles, DoD acquisition management, and logistics systems
Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum of four (4) years? experience with engineering background with one (1) year of experience in C-IED technologies.
Knowledge of DoD acquisition process.
Minimum Education: Master of Science degree in a technical field
Minimum Clearance: TS/SCI
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be prepared to live and work in an austere environment. Must have current passport good for the year of deployment. Must be medically cleared (including dental) for deployment.
