Clinical Psychiatrist

### Overview:
The Clinical Psychiatrist (Adult) shall provide psychiatric services in the Department of Tele-Behavioral Health Services.
### Responsibilities:
Work as a team member with other psychiatrist(s), social worker(s), psychologist(s), and behavior science specialist(s) to coordinate patient evaluation, treatment planning, and referrals. The contract Clinical Psychiatrist (Adult) will be credentialed at KACC and privileged to practice outpatient psychiatry at several military treatment facilities (MTF) within the Military Healthcare System. Services will usually involve multidisciplinary interaction with licensed behavioral health providers at each MTF where services are provided. The range of services will equal any service an Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic provides.
Provide a comprehensive evaluation of patients and as appropriate their families according to the quality assurance guidelines of the Department of Tele-Health and Department of Psychiatry.
Complete the history of the present illness and review past histories and social work evaluations. Interview patients to obtain insight into their problems.
Complete mental status evaluations, formulations, diagnosis(es) and detailed treatment plans utilizing a biopsychosocial paradigm. Make referrals for further diagnostic psychological or medical testing as needed. Provide administrative evaluations including, but not limited to, Command Directed Mental Health Evaluations, Fitness for Duty Evaluations, Chapter Separation Evaluations, Medical Evaluation Boards, Security Evaluations, Drill Sergeant Evaluations and Recruiter Evaluations.
Provide individual, group, family and pharmacologic therapeutic interventions as necessary.
Provide crisis intervention and referral for psychiatric hospitalization.
Provide psychotherapy to include group, individual, behavior modification and drug therapy modalities.
Diagnose and establish treatment plans for each patient and initiate inpatient workup to include history and psychiatrist treatment plan.
Determine the need for long-term residential treatment.
Communicate with patients, patients' families and others to obtain personal and social information pertinent to the development of adjustment difficulty and to ascertain probable impact on the individual, unit, and community.
Prepare and maintain documentation, records and reports in accordance with MTF rules and regulations.
Provide consultations on psychiatric disorders to MTF staff psychiatrists.
Provide in-service training to MTF staff during his/her regular scheduled hours. In-service training is informal training to or by staff members to update treatment procedures. Preparation is at the discretion of the provider.
Perform other duties as assigned.
### Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in Psychiatry or be American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board-eligible or certified in Psychiatry.
Licensed for independent clinical practice (State or National Licensure). Must maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number.
Must have been continuously employed in the practice of psychiatry or in training for one year prior to the commencement of services under Katmai?s contract.
Clinical experience diagnosing and treating primary care conditions and knowledge of PTSD and related conditions.
Ability to respond to cardiopulmonary arrests as appropriate and to arrange for clinical backup; must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Must provide Prime Source Verification.
Demonstrated computer proficiency with MS Office; strong MS Word and Excel Skills required. Basic computer knowledge of software, program functions and user interface.
Ability to navigate and record data with clinical software.
Ability to work in a self-directed, fast paced, results oriented environment.
Ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Maintain CE credit sufficient to maintain both clinical license and/or certification, and to meet standards for credentialing and privileging.
Competent to treat adults for crisis intervention and ongoing psychotherapy/medical management and able to effectively provide psychiatric healthcare services.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, and have strong organization skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
