Daily Job Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, or recommends integrated security system solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected.
Conducts incident/event investigation and analysis.
Assesses and detects network vulnerabilities.
Maintains security system infrastructure.
Provides technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions. Participates with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs.
Provides technical support to A&A team.
Supports security posture assessments.
Maintains awareness of cyber trends, threats, and vulnerabilities.
Develops, integrates and maintains security toolsets.
Leads in security engineering, validation testing of system configuration/hardening, and assessment of security information systems.
Understands current computer technologies and technical security requirements as applied to the design, development, evaluation, and integration of computer systems and networks to sustain compliance with FISMA, NIST, and department guidelines.
Develops system security plans (SSPs).
Conducts certification test analysis and technical evaluations for vulnerabilities and must possess the ability to recommend and apply security countermeasures to mitigate identified risks.
Mentors junior staff.
Designs and Develops, tests and implements security capabilities
Performs vulnerability scans/checks as needed and ensures periodic audits are conducted using the McAfee Vulnerability Manager (MVM), NetIQ Sentinel, Web Inspect, Nessus and other approved vulnerability scanning assessment tools
Potentially perform Security Penetration Assessments exploiting and compromising defined targets in a global enterprise environments ranging from web applications to handheld systems.
Identify vulnerabilities in applications, OS, hardware, databases, wired and wireless networks, etc.
Document technical and logical security findings identified during the security assessments and providing security recommendations for enterprise executives, developers, web/system and database administrators.
Leads, supports, and/or facilitates security assessments of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and software applications ensuring integration with IA security requirements
Develops, recommends, and implements incident response procedures, penetration testing, and forensic technologies to identify, assess, and ensure the appropriate response to threats and vulnerabilities
Completes post-deployment testing and monitoring in production to ensure rules are working as intended.
Troubleshoots in the event of web application failures.
Evaluates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, and performs problem isolation and resolution on security applications.
Monitors, tunes, sets standards, and supports a range of applications that will have transactional dependency on the network
Provides expert operational/engineering support for security tools
Provides Information System Security Officer (ISSO) support for classified and unclassified sensitive systems as applicable.
Supports the Information Assurance program including developing, collecting, assessing, and reporting IA metrics.
Required Skills:
Thorough knowledge of, and experience with security tools such as NetIQ, Web Inspect, MVM, Puppet, Satellite Server, Nessus, App Detective, etc.
Previous experience assessing and implementing solutions to information security related concerns Experience should be clearly defined in resume.
Ability to manage multiple systems of different size and complexity. Experience should be outlined in resume.
High degree of attention to detail
Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, analyze problems and provide focused solutions.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of technical standards relating to automated information security; experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, experience with large scale server systems, system virtualization, and database systems.
Strong technical skills with the ability to generate data into useful metrics
Strong verbal and written communication skills are highly preferred. It is highly desirable that candidate possess strong interpersonal skills.
Degree & Years of Experience:
Bachelor's with 10-12 years of strong security experience
Certification Requirements:
Security+, Network +, CISSP, CEH or similar widely recognized IT Security certification
Travel Requirement: Less than 10% to local offices.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
