The Associate Sourcing Manager collaborates with internal Accenture clients to develop sourcing and negotiation strategies. Leads client requirement gathering process, supplier selection process, contract negotiation, and formal bidding process. Provides industry and supplier research, market intelligence, and supplier due diligence to client. Minimizes risks and costs to client. Develops project case studies and market insights. Collaborates with cross-category and cross-functional Procurement resources.
Job Description
The Associate Sourcing Manager will be responsible for the Sourcing, Negotiation, and Contract Management functions that make up the IT category specifically for internal Accenture needs, but potentially expanding to include other external clients as well. These responsibilities include the following:
Leads sourcing projects, including all key steps such as strategy development, market research, requirements gathering, due diligence, supplier evaluations/RFx, supplier negotiations, award recommendations, and supplier contract execution
Works with senior level stakeholders; works with global teams
Communicates frequently and professionally with customer stakeholders regarding the status of the procurement aspect of the project
Participates in initiatives aimed at improving productivity and efficiency to support company and account growth
Develops and mentors people; works collaboratively
Keeps up to date with new processes/technologies; looks for ways to be more innovative
Provides timely, accurate, and useful project status and issues reports
Works with team members to enhance their business and category knowledge
Offers creative solutions to deliver on sourcing projects/negotiations and achieve desired results
Ensures the consistent delivery of sourcing/negotiation services that meet and exceed savings targets, as well as minimize client risks
Establishes and cultivates key client stakeholder relationships across organizations, building trust and support for sourcing/negotiation projects
All of the preceding could include coordination with Accenture Delivery Center resources for delivery of these functions. The individual should also have extensive client and supplier interaction experience, potentially with both program leadership and operational teams from these groups who may be based in the US, Europe, and Asia. Support for broad client and recruiting category initiatives is required. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years? of IT strategic sourcing and/or contract negotiations experience
Minimum 2 years? of software sourcing and/or software category management experience. Candidate should have experience negotiating software as a service or cloud based services agreements
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors? degree in quantitative discipline (business/finance/economics/mathematics) or equivalent
Deep knowledge of sourcing and/or category management process within Fortune 500 organizations
Ability to manage numerous negotiations/vendor relationships simultaneously; ability to prioritize effectively
Highly driven; self-starter
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively with resources in senior management
Proven ability to work in global and virtual environment
Advanced degrees or additional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Manager are a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
