Senior Policy, Strategy and Plans SME

Job Description
The SME will support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict (OASD SO/LIC) in its mission to support and integrate global awareness and responsive support to the special operations enterprise in day-to-day operations, crisis response, and contingency planning. SME shall support OASD integration into future operations, crisis action and compartmented contingency planning to inform senior leader decision-making and support combatant command special operation planning requirements. SME shall lead and facilitate OASD SOLIC integration with USSOCOM global synchronization of Department of Defense (DOD) trans-regional combating terrorism and c ountering weapons of mass destruction ( CWMD) efforts from design and implementation through assessment of planning efforts and synchronization venues. SME shall lead OASD SOLIC integration into the planning, development and integration of new capabilities in support of future and current operations. Tasks include:
+ Liaison, coordinate with, and provide analysis to all participants in the Trans regional Synchronization events, including USSOCOM, combatant commands, joint staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, the interagency, and partners and allies.
+ Assist in maintaining the USSOCOM collaborative information enterprise.
+ Liaison and coordinate among all participants during deliberate and crisis action planning and the execution of a crisis action team (CAT).
+ Facilitate OASD SO/LIC integration into functional working groups from other agencies/departments, and the Joint Staff.
+ Facilitate OASD SO/LIC integration with operational planning requirements through Joint Staff management practices and procedures.
+ Assist in development and maintenance of professional network that improves coordination between USSOCOM, combatant commands, Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the interagency.
+ Assist in hosting/chairing meetings, visitations or conferences related to contingency and operations plans, emerging special operations opportunities and other initiatives.
+ Analyze DOD operations, plans, and strategies.
+ Review and assess effectiveness of combatant command deliberate and contingency plans.
+ Facilitate and support OASD SOLIC integration into detailed planning, research, and analysis for deliberate and contingency planning working groups related to counterterrorism (CT), counter weapons of mass destruction (CWMD) and other special operations core activities.
+ Lead and support OASD SOLIC integration into regional, trans-regional, and crisis action planning efforts in support of combatant commands special operations requirements
+ Facilitate and lead OASD SOLIC integration with USSOCOM's "Coordinating Authority" responsibility in support of the National Military Strategic Plan to Counter Trans-regional Terrorist Organizations
+ Facilitate and lead OASD SOLIC integration with Global Synchronization of Special Operations (GSOS) in support of the Campaign Plan for Global Special Operations (CP-GSO)
+ Support updates to the Global Special Operations Synchronization Process (GSOS)
Master's degree
5 years' of strategy and operational-level planning and policy development
Graduate of Senior Service College or equivalent
3 years' experience working on policy, plans, strategies, concepts, and initiatives
5 years' experience in Pentagon-based assignments (OSD, Joint Staff, Service or CCMD HQs) or equivalent
15 years' combined Joint, Combined, Interagency, and Regional experience working military operations, to include strategic and operational levels
2 years' experience leading integrated process teams, joint planning groups, or battle staffs at the operational and strategic levels.
5 years' experience developing and coordinating decision proposals for senior staff resolution to support strategic objectives.
Current DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
