Description
Chemonics seeks a Finance Manager for a five-year USAID-funded Global Health Supply Chains ? Technical Assistance (GHSC-TA) task order for work across francophone Africa and Haiti. The purpose of this project is to provide expert technical assistance to strengthen in-country health commodity supply chain system by strengthening end-to-end supply chain system implementation; improving collaboration to advance commodity security; and building supply chain management capacity in the context of global health security and emergency preparedness. This is a full-time position with residency in Washington, DC. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Role:
+ Serve as the main point of contact for financial management related to the Task Order.
+ Ensure overall project financial management
+ Manage and maintain accounting and finance records for all project activities.
+ Compile appropriate monthly financial reports.
+ Track and transfer funds between Chemonics home office and the country offices.
+ Maintain appropriate documentation for all purchased assets.
+ Conduct regular audits of payroll processes and files.
+ Prepare and submit deposits and wire transfer requests to the bank.
+ Issue checks of payment for processed transactions, log payments, and distribute and/or mail checks to the appropriate vendors.
+ Calculate and processes payments for income and other taxes.
+ Maintain transparent and audit-proof record keeping systems per Chemonics? policies.
+ Review, process, and enter accounting activity.
+ Obtain documentation and approval for all transactions.
+ Ensure that all financial transactions and practices adhere to USAID and the local government regulations.
Qualifications:
+ At least five years of experience with financial management of USG-funded programs with multi-country field offices.
+ A graduate degree in accounting, finance, business or management. A bachelor?s degree in the same fields and an additional five years of work experience beyond the five required above may be substituted for a graduate degree.
+ Experience recruiting, forming, and successfully managing diverse teams, preferably in developing countries working Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
+ Native or full professional proficiency in English is required.
+ In addition to the requirements stated above, proficiency in French is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
