Applications Developer, Senior

Education: Bachelor?s degree in relevant field or related experience

Additional Requirements: All applicants must possess a Top Secret Clearance and submit to a background investigation application
Project Summary:
The Senior Applications Developer will provide operations and maintenance support, as well as system enhancements for the LeadTrac system at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) / Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) / Counterterrorism and Criminal Exploitation Unit (CTCEU).
CTCEU is part of ICE HSI?s National Security Investigations Division. The mission of CTCEU is to proactively scrutinize known or suspected terrorists and their associates, identify terrorist criminal enterprises, and prevent terrorists and other criminals from exploiting the nation?s immigration system. The CTCEU is comprised of two sections; Terrorist Tracking and Pursuit Group (TTPG) and the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) Exploitation Section (SES). CTCEU is also closely aligned with the Overstay Analysis Unit (OAU). CTCEU uses the LeadTrac application to fulfill its mission.
Skills Required:
Operations and Maintenance Expertise
Experience with Agile Software Development
Experience working with JBoss, MongoDB, Jenkins, Maven, SVN, and JIRA
Experience with Linux, J2EE, Spring Framework, and JavaFX
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of FIPS and FISMA standards and requirements for federal ATO
Skills Desired:
Working knowledge of the modernized LeadTrac system
Experience working at DHS ICE
Experience working with Tableau
Duties & Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software
Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications
Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements
Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements
Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
Participates in development of software user manuals and technical reports

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
