Overview
The Cadmus Group, Inc. is seeking highly motivated individuals with backgrounds in environmental or natural sciences; computer science; mathematics, statistics or data science; environmental engineering, or closely related fields. Our work primarily support contracts with EPA and other government clients in the areas of drinking water, water quality, and climate science/policy.
Successful candidates will have a professional demeanor and will have distinguished themselves with academic and professional excellence and a clearly demonstrated work ethic. They should be highly motivated to perform and learn, able to work collaboratively and independently, detail-oriented, and able to manage assigned tasks and projects from start to finish with input from supervisors. Candidates should also possess exceptional analytical and oral and written communication skills, enabling them to support Cadmus' mission to successfully meet clients' needs. Responsibilities
Data preparation and analysis
GIS analysis
Database development and management
Literature searches and reviews on technical topics
Logistical and administrative support for Cadmus project teams
Project support- Facilitating information sharing and planning across projects and teams- Supporting the efforts of multiple projects and project managers
Writing or editing reports, case studies, presentations, and other documents to communicate research results
Qualifications
BS/BA in relevant field.
Applied experience with quantitative research activities in an academic or professional setting.
Significant experience in either GIS (such as ArcGIS) or data analysis programming (such as R or python).
Facility with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Access and Excel.
Excellent academic results and strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills (written and oral).
Strong organizational abilities and a professional demeanor.
Ability to think critically and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred
Experience in professional/consulting business environment in relevant field a plus.
Additional experience with Microsoft Access or SQL.
Skills or familiarity with:
web development (html, CSS, or JavaScript); data visualization (such as Tableau, Power BI, or ggplot); other programming languages; git version control a plus.
Classwork or professional experience with GIS and other environmental data sets, such as climate, land use, demographic, or water sampling data.
Research or project experience using R or Python for data preparation and analysis.
Classwork or professional experience with EPA regulatory programs and/or climate adaptation.
Additional Information
This position may be located in one of our following offices:
Waltham, MA, Bethesda, MD, or Arlington, VA. Some domestic travel may be required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
