Job Summary /
Responsibilities:
The position is located in Arlington, Virginia supporting Defense Threat Reduction Agency /Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization (DTRA/JIDO).
The applicant will provide a wide range of Science and Engineering Technical Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support for rapid acquisition, technically focused small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) and Counter UAS (CUAS) projects.
The position requires the applicant to possess a technical subject matter expert understanding of UAS systems and components.
The position requires applicant to possess an active security clearance.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide technical subject matter expert support to government personnel leading technology strategy development, requirements analysis, integration, and testing activities for CUAS solutions.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert advisor for government-led CUAS programs.
Maintain awareness of the current state-of-the-art, identify capability gaps, and make technical predictions for future technology advancement for sUAS systems and CUAS solutions.
Evaluate emergent technologies across a wide variety of disciplines for potential applicability to CUAS applications.
Generate and present briefings and technical assessments for CUAS technology to technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level government personnel.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert advisor while representing DTRA/JIDO at briefings, seminars, conferences, workshops, colloquia, and other working groups, in support of government efforts to identify and evaluate new technologies.
Serves as an independent technical advisor for the government when interfacing with vendors.
Performs other duties as required.

Keep abreast of advanced technology, concepts, and trends to discover initiative solution candidates for use by JIDO and keep the DM8 team informed on innovative solutions within UAS technology arena.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
