Overview This position is on the research staff of a government consulting organization headquartered in McLean, VA.
Employment location will be on-site at a Washington, DC based agency responsible for oversight and managewment of DoD security Cooperation programs.

Responsibilities Individuals filling this position will be subject matter experts assigned in support of Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) Regional Portfolio Directors (RPDs) or Country Portfolio Directors (CPDs) in their oversight of the US Government's Security Cooperation (SC) programs.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Programmatic and administrative support; Assisting in coordinating and facilitating information; Fostering interdepartmental relationships; Performing research and analyzing data; Reviewing Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) and training and equipment lists; Developing congressional notification tables; Supporting Program Management Reviews and/or Security Assistance Management Reviews; Facilitating communication with implementing agencies; and supporting the RPDs or CPDs in the day-to-day management of programs.
Qualifications Bachelor's DegreeA minimum of three (3) years of work experience (sometime within the last five (5) years) related to an understanding of Foreign Military Sales and its related fields of logistics, financial management, military education and training, transportation, and current security cooperation database management tools, are prerequisites of the position.
Increased experience in related security cooperation areas and programs, including BPC programs - military requirements development, Counter Terrorism, and Global Train and Equip programs and funding, and Afghanistan Security Forces funded through the FMS process, is desirable.
Knowledge and prior experience in Security Assistance policy and procedure, related legislation with the ability to assist in the management of complex operations involving compliance with policy issues.
Strong computer, analytical skills, and the ability to research and communicate effectively in writing.
Ability to work well with all levels of internal management staff, Department of Defense (DoD) counterparts, as well as foreign clients and industry representatives.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; proficiency with Excel to perform data evaluation, formulas, analytics and spreadsheets.
A SECRET clearance is required for this position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
