SECURITY SPECIALIST

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Security Administration Series 0080. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes:
a major area of security specialization or demonstrated mastery of general security administration programs, uses comprehensive knowledge of security policy requirements to function a s technical authority in assignments requiring the application of new theories and developments to security problems not susceptible to 1) expert knowledge of developing and implementing Special Access Programs (SAP) security and Information Protection (IP) policy to ensure the highest level of protection of critical programs; 2) proficiency in advising senior leadership on policies, procedures and processes related to Special Access Program security; 3) managing special projects and initiatives related to Special Access Programs; AND 4) technical expert in analyzing and resolving complex problems with existing security systems and programs requiring innovative solutions. This experience MUST be well documented on your resume or application package.). FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in -grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of security, personnel management, EEO, and safety regulations, practices, and procedures. 2. Superior knowledge of Special Access Program, security concepts, principles, practices and protection efforts to review, analyze, and resolve issues supporting advanced air, space, and cyber technologies, capabilities and operations. 3. In-depth knowledge of formal declassification processes and actions for Special Access Program information. 4. Expert-level knowledge of Special Access Program core compliance inspection policies, methodologies, evaluation criteria and processes for both government and contractor operations. 5. Significant Special Access Program (SAP) experience in order to serve as a focal point for SAP policy, oversight, and governance. 6. Accomplished in the development and approval of Special Access Program-related Security Classification Guides and the identification and protection of critical program information. 7. Expertise in the creation of Special Access Program support agreements, Memorandums of Agreement, and Memorandums of Understanding supporting Air Force participation with other DoD agencies. 8. Practiced in the development of disestablishment plans when the determination has been made to terminate, cancel, or transition a SAP. 9. Exceptional proficiency to represent the Air Force as the Special Access Program (SAP) security subject matter expert at Joint Service and National Agency working groups and policy making forums. 10. Demonstrated expertise of Special Access Programs to contribute to studies and the annual creation and submission of the Air Force SAP President's Budget submission to Congress. 11. Polished understanding of the responsibilities and critical interdependencies of Special Access Program security leadership roles to include:
Program Security Officer, Government SAP Security Officer, Contractor Program Security Officer, and SAP Personnel Security Official. PART-TIME OR UNPAID

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
