Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff

The primary purpose of the position is to serve as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff. Typical work assignments include:
Aids the Assistant Director, Deputy Assistant Director, Assistant Chief of Staff and other leadership in exercising managerial authority to set long range goals and objectives, translate objectives into specific projects, determine program emphasis, plan for long range staffing and organization needs, manage organizational changes, and decide on the full range of support and resources required. Coordinates and facilitates the flow of information between the Assistant Chief of Staff and Staff Divisions, Branches, Sections, etc. Ensures efficient and timely coordination of major staff actions and events. Expedites actions with respective elements to meet appropriate suspense. Clarifies CSD AD, DAD, and ACOS guidance to the staff elements. Attends and organizes meetings, conferences, and seminars to collate tasking and/or questions, coordinates appropriate replies and ensures positive communications are maintained between elements. Ensures that all tasking's from the Assistant Chief of Staff are properly tasked and monitored. Reviews materials and products, judging if acceptable for intended purpose, and assesses correspondence basics, including tone, clarity, relevancy, consistency, adequacy of enclosures, arrangement, proper staffing, and compliance with any special instructions. You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess the following:
Experience:
One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following duties:
1) promoting awareness of cyber policy and strategy 2) performing needs analysis to determine opportunities for new and improved business process solutions 3) establishing program objectives and developing long range plans to promote an efficient organization, and 4) directing the management planning and service activities of staff personnel. Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). NOTE:
Current and former employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment (position occupied block 34 on the SF-50 should show a 1), tenure group (block 24 should show a 1 or 2), grade, and salary. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
