In this position, you will serve as a Management and Program Analyst, for the Branch Chief, Enterprise Services, Information Technology Operations and Services Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) within the Director of CISA. Typical work assignments include:
Assessing, developing, recommending and providing oversight of actions to improve organizational structure and processes, and program policies, practices, and methods. Undertaking special projects and studies for the Director as related to the more complex facets of the work. Providing expert technical support in providing detailed reports and recommendations to the DHS Program Offices on programmatic implementations You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level in Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
Identifying strategies to improve program operations Developing short and long-range plans to achieve program goals Supporting Executives and Division Directors to define current and future operational and business environments for projects Researching and analyzing data to evaluate program effectiveness. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Current or Former Political Appointees:
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). NOTE:
Current and former employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment (position occupied block 34 on the SF-50 should show a 1), tenure group (block 24 should show a 1 or 2), grade, and salary. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
