INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT)

This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Information Systems Division (TC), Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will perform the following duties and
Responsibilities:
Anticipate, identify, and conduct research and analysis, recommending strategies and concepts of operations for major contemporary, emerging, and strategic issues confronting DEA IT Systems and resources. Advise DEA Leadership on key issues such as IT strategy, architecture, policy, guidelines, and risk management for inter-agency shared resources, services, and systems. Evaluate and recommend improvements to all aspects of the agency's custom software development environments to include, but not limited to:
software editors, source control, version control, requirements tracking, deployment tools and practices, development workstations, development servers, and security of software projects. Develop takeaways correlating current maturity levels with industry projections and trends. Use those results to analyze, filter, and establish development initiatives. All applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Experience:
In order to qualify for the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include:
1) Serving as the organization's lead technical expert involving enterprise architecture planning, modification, and modernization efforts; 2) Providing technical advice on aspects of large-scale management information systems (security, strategic planning, data/information handling, infrastructure, mission/business qualifications); and 3) Researching, designing, and developing, the transformation and advancement of Information Technology systems to enable successful support of an organizations mission. In addition to the above specialized experience, applicants must also meet the IT-Related proficiency level for all four of the competencies listed below:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
