CONTRACT SPECIALIST

NO-03 Level:
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05/10 grade level or pay band NO-02 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following:
(1) Developing procurement objectives to determine and prepare contracts according to pricing arrangements, subcontracting policies, and set-aside policies; (2) Preparing and maintaining current acquisition plans, associated milestone charts, and related schedules; (3) Conducting negotiations to successfully award contracts and incorporate changes or settle issues that develop after the contract placement; (4) Planning and conducting post award conferences to ensure all contractual requirements are maintained and preclude unauthorized changes or alterations in contract provisions; and (5) Determining work priorities and showing responsibility for the acquisition, negotiation, administration, and termination of contracts for integrated services, hardware, software, and professional services acquisition. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following:
(1) Performing cost and/or price analysis on all elements of the cost proposal and reporting results in a clear, concise business memorandum document; (2) Conducting negotiations in collaboration with other departments to determine contract terms and conditions based on pre-negotiation objectives to establish pricing; (3) Preparing contractual award documents by applying contract laws, regulations, principles, and policies and regulations of pricing arrangements, and subcontracting policy; (4) Executing contract administration for a wide range of acquisition instruments, such as:
funding modifications, time extensions, change orders, stop of work orders, and Government property; and (5) Determining of short- and long-term goals and strategies on how to achieve set goals in collaboration with other departments. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
