In this position, you will serve as Supervisory Security Specialist (Threat Analysis).Typical work assignments include:
Establish and implement programs to detect, deter and mitigate threats to the CISA mission, and the safeguarding of classified national security information from exploitation, compromise, or other unauthorized disclosure. Establish the threat analysis products and briefing senior officials on the key threats to CISA personnel, assets and facilities. Participate in implementing training and reporting programs regarding a variety of counterintelligence subjects such as CI awareness, foreign travel, foreign visitors, and suspicious contacts/activities Provide subject matter expertise fulfilling counterintelligence functional responsibilities. Implement training and reporting programs regarding a variety of counterintelligence subjects Manage the CISA Insider Threat Program to include policy development, resource planning and implementation. Manage the CISA Information Security Program and administers guidance within the organization to ensure protection of classified national security information. Develop CISA policies for information security and ensures compliance through organizational initiatives and inspections. You qualify for the GS-14 grade level (starting salary $121,316.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level performing the following duties:
Managing and implementing programs to mitigate threats (e.i. counterintelligence, insider threat, and information security) to organizational security; Performing studies to evaluate the effectiveness of security countermeasures; Producing a variety of written reports that provide guidance on counterintelligence, insider threat, or information security to leadership and policy officials; Directing the work of subordinate staff (i.e. assigning work, developing performance standards, making authoritative decisions regarding personnel actions, etc.). National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Current or Former Political Appointees:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
