Supply Chain Manager Transportation & Warehousing - Arlington, VA at Geebo

Supply Chain Manager

Amazon is focused on protecting the health and safety of our employees while continuing to serve people who need our services more than ever.
Regular testing on a global scale across all industries would both help keep people safe and help get the economy back up and running.
But, for this to work, we as a society would need vastly more testing capacity than is currently available.
Unfortunately, today we live in a world of scarcity where COVID-19 testing is heavily rationed.
Until we have an effective vaccine available in billions of doses, high-volume testing capacity would be of great help, but getting that done will take collective action by NGOs, companies, and governments.
To help solve this problem, Amazon has begun the work of building incremental testing capacity.
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the Strategy and Transformation team.
This team is responsible for enabling the success of new products, features and capabilities by providing a direct link between Sourcing and Demand Planning.
Our goal is to execute initiatives which optimize inventory placement and supply chain efficiency, while ensuring alignment with the overarching goals of the business.
Responsibilities will include:
Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to lead mid- to long-term inventory management and operational improvement strategies across the Supply Chain Driving cross-functional projects to include planning, organizing, managing, and executing across multiple organizations and stakeholders Developing and/or improving inventory management strategies for our network to ensure the right placement of ASINs and the success of new launches.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
