Systems Lead- Transit and Rail

If so, we'd like you to join our team!We're looking for a Systems Lead for Transit and Rail design build (DDB) opportunities and projects locally and domestically.
We'll look to you to manage and direct the systems engineering design for transit Design -Build (DB) teams- projects may include light rail, metro or other rail work.
You'd be involved through the full life cycle of a project though we'd especially capitalize on your expertise of design information, the organization and storage of all relevant design documents and as-built information and facilitate the timely completion of the design work, so that the DB contract proceeds in a timely manner, without unduly holding up the DB contractors' progress.
You'll be asked to maintain an understanding of the Scope of Work, the Owner's requirements of the contract, the design submittal process, the project's organizational structure, and the integrated design-build project schedule.
While working with contractors and managing work with diverse and remote design teams to deliver products on a tight schedule.
A particular focus on safety will be imperative so we'd ask you to ensure the Safety & Quality issues for both design and construction are understood and properly integrated into the design team's operations.
Also, you'll coordinate audit activities of the Design Quality Assurance Manager and promptly address any issues that are identified.
You'd partner with other DB team leaders to ensure the critical design components and related submittal documents are properly prioritized.
You'll be asked to lead risk management and ensure that risk mitigation measures are in place and are being followed.
Then work with the Project Manager and Project Sponsor to identify risks and develop risk mitigation measures.
As lead, you'll be asked to be involved with Project Control processes and procedures to ensure accurate reporting of systems design progress as the work progresses throughout design and construction.
It'll be important for you to develop and manage metrics against the design budget for early detection of budget overruns.
This will be done by using your understanding of quantity tracking, unit costs of labor and budgeted man hours, sheet counts, and all relative metrics associated with managing a design effort from a budget standpoint.
Utilizing the Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and be able to meet critical project milestones for deliverables will be one of your focuses as well.

o Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical is preferred) o Professional Engineer (PE) License o Experience in the field of Rail and Transit Systems Engineering Design and design management experience on at least two major Transit Design Build projects with a value over $500 million o Must bring a thorough knowledge and expertise in working with large design teams; be able to timely integrate remote resources and diverse engineering staff into a single well-coordinated systems design package; have a good knowledge of contracts and risk avoidance and mitigation; knowledgeable of project controls and change processes o Experience working on significant projects in transit in the United States projects.
o A successful track record working with contractors o Knowledge of key transit and rail systems engineering and design requirements for automatic train control, communications and traction power.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
