Principal, Supply Chain - NPI and Requirements Planning

As COVID-19 vaccines continue to be distributed across the globe, regular, inexpensive, and user-friendly testing remains a key tool in helping to keep people safe and getting the economy back up and runningJob DescriptionWe are seeking a New Product Development Leader with a strong delivery record of owning and executing strategic, cross-functional operations, and technology projects/products.
This leader will interface with R&D and Engineering in coordinating the release of new products and providing guidance regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Key functions of the role include applying the six phases of NPI (Define through Evaluate), estimating manufacturing costs, evaluating time standards, and making recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and existing product lines, and maintaining ongoing communication mechanisms between multiple workstreams.
It requires a high-level of ownership over the end-to-end process, the ability to think outside of the box willingness to disrupt the current processes to create a new process, and the ability align stakeholders to sustainable solutions.
Primary duties of this role will include:
Coordinate with R&D and Greenfield Projects, a New Products Development group to develop strategies for new products.
Interface with key internal stakeholders to understand their needs, perform market research and assist in the execution of shared vision/strategy.
Work closely with external partners to build a strong and scalable processes to optimally integrate new innovations for future product development.
Partner with the R&D to ensure effective management of new products and execution of projects according to required policies, procedures and government regulations to ensure consistent outcomes in manufacturing through scale up.
Collaborate with engineering and product management departments to understand business requirements and develop and implement Manufacturing Plan for products.
Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications, cost of goods and requirements.
Monitor operations of product and evaluate designs and ensure adherence to all design and manufacture principles.
Ensure compliance to all ECO procedures and work instructions.
Work with design engineering and assist in transition of design prototypes into cost efficient and high volume products.
Develop prototype design according to required techniques and manufacturing processes.
Design new manufacturing process requirements and associate guidelines in accordance with best-in-class benchmarks.
Oversee establishment of effective working relationships with external and our internal supply chain partners to ensure consistent, timely and cost-effective delivery of solutions.
Develop and implement efficient material handling, flow strategies and maintain safe manufacturing standards at all times.
Support manufacturing development initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in the relationships with third parties.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
