Advises Agency personnel on funds control and financial systems budget procedures and processes.
Provides assistance to management in recording and tracking Agency appropriations, apportionments, and reapportionments by preparing financial system entries and supporting documentation.
Provides fiscal/budgetary policy and regulatory guidelines for the organization.
Participates in providing answers to complex questions regarding budget, policy, guidelines, or system processes.
Conducts research and prepares reports and materials requested by FR management, other DEA offices, external auditors, and other Federal entities.

Qualifications Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below.
Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent GS 560 -09 to qualify for the GS-11.
For GS-12 you must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to GS-560-11.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (eg, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (eg, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
One year of specialized experience for this position includes.
GS-11:
Must have one year of Specialized Experience equivalent to a GS 09 Federal grade level performing duties such as assisting on aspects of budget formulation and execution; working with the management and control of budgetary funding to include appropriations, funding availability, and account apportionments and reapportionments; performing analyses that examine the requirements of new or revised reimbursable agreements; preparing and submitting reports of analyses and proposed resource management policy and procedural guidance for the reimbursable portion of resources; updating and maintaining budget databases.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR
Experience:
The experience requirement for the GS-11 level may be met by a Ph.
D.
or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.

Attention to Detail Financial Management Planning and Evaluating Time-In-Grade Requirement:
Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09.
For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11.
The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service.
An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement.
In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
