Senior Network Engineer **TS/SCI Clearance*

GCyber is searching for a Network Engineer to support an innovative Department of Defense program in Arlington, VA.
You will be part of a team responsible for engineering, administration, and operations to support a hybrid (on-premise and cloud) network infrastructure to ensure performance, scalability, reliability and high availability of services.
The Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining network capacity, integrity, and performance of client connectivity across a number of sites located in NCR, CONUS, and OCONUS locations.
This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance.
What you will do:
Designs and plans network communications systems.
Supports and implements specifications and updates schematics for network architecture.
Provides recommendations for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet needs, including present and future capacity requirements as well as determining repairs, patches, or upgrades.
Supports and conducts testing of network design solutions.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
Researches new technologies to fully understand implementation requirements and implications for integration with other systems.
Utilize network analysis tools to identify performance problems in the network and once identified troubleshoot and resolve network incidents.
Configures routers to facilitate connection to and monitor traffic for designated network infrastructures.
Monitors operations and collects and evaluates metrics to manage network services and for inclusion into project KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Execute configurations for routers, switches and domain controllers using Cisco hardware.
Participate in requirement analysis planning in support of implementation of new network architectures and the migration and integration of current legacy network architectures.
Maintain and upgrade network capabilities.
Assist with the installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of LAN hardware and software.
Complete patching of all network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls in accordance with industry, program, and regulatory policies or guidelines.
Position Requirements:
Possess TS/SCI clearance Possesses 8570 IAT Level II (ie, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security
CE) certification; or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire Experienced in MPLS, VRF, VPN, and network routing Experience with Cisco router and switch equipment Understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP fundamentals, and networking (LAN/WAN) design principles Understanding of IP protocols; these skills must include:
TCP/IP based services (ie DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, etc); IP addressing/subnetting and routing principles (ie RP.
OSPF, IS-IS, BGP); IPv6/IPSec protocols (SSL, TLS, SSH); network (LAN/WAN) design principles Working knowledge of OSI layer model and protocols Working knowledge of the following systems:
Unix/Linux, Cisco IOS and Windows Server.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
